It's the first time in 24 years that I have grown my nails long, and had them reasonably long for one month.

 

For the first time EVER today, I broke a nail when I dropped a box on it.

 

The downside to all this is that I am having great diffficulties playing my guitar.

 

In the battle of Nails vs. Guitar though, the nails are gonna have to go.

Saw my favorite singer perform last night in concert.  Damien Rice=Amazing.  His voice, His accent, perfect.

So I'm in Austin, and well, what can I say.....it's great to be back in the Ghetto.  Of course I had a great welcoming committee to greet me

here when I arrived.  And by 'welcoming committee' I mean a 16 hour hostage standoff situation two blocks away, and by 'greet me' I mean a 20 member swat team and about 15 cops blocking off the streets from residents from the 'crazy gunman.'  Annnnways we were advised to stay in our homes,  but that was just a 'suggestion'  so my sister and I walked up to the police barricade to see what was happening, and we could hear the negotiator trying to talk the guy out of releasing the hostages.  Now don't be turned off from coming to visit me.  This is a complete isolated incident that only happens every couple of weeks or so. 

 

In other news. It's hot. And humid.

-Trevor was back home for the weekend from Texas.  We celebrated 5 years of coupledome

-I will be moving back to Austin on April 23rd

-This time around it could be anywhere from 4 months to 3 years.

-You know what is a big pet peeve of mine, when restaurants don't give refills. It makes me fume

-and ALSO when restaurants give you little packets of ketchup that you have to open, instead of a ketchup dispenser.  I am a ketchup whore and don't have time to waste on opening little packages.

-Still have a massive bruise on my knee where I bit it trying to run for the bus on sheer ice.  The whole bus saw/laughed.

Aaaand I got carried away with a song that we learned in choir when I was in High School.

Anyways,  my volleyball season is officially over, hence the freedom.  I now have my evenings

and weekends back.  Not that I really had a lot of plans before, but I mean, now I have the

'option' to make plans.

 

Also, we won our conference finals.

 

 

 

To occupy my time now (beside studying, and completing numerous projects) I have a new computer. 

So long Barbie Computer. 

I will be having a memorial service for the Barbie Computer on February 7th at 2:00pm.

Trevor built me the worlds best computer, so now I have a crazy amount of room to download stuff.  It already came with

6000 songs on it, and a plethora of movies, and television shows. I am currently in a downloading TV show seasons type

My dear dear friend Heather bought the first dress she tried on.  It was quite a productive day.

 

Have you ever just wanted to try on a wedding dress because you are there...and they are oh so pretty... and you know you won't be getting married for a long time so now's your chance.  I know Ryan knows what I am talking about.

 

I restrained myself.  T'wasn't my day.

 

And is it just me or are bridemaids/prom dresses getting uglier every year?

 

 

What the crap is that?  Who wears that?  It was hanging in the store. No offence to anyone who owns it, or thinks it's nice.

 

Okay, well maybe you should take some offence.  It's gross.

 

 

 

 

You know what makes me mad.  When people leave an open package of spaghetti leaned up against the cupboard door, so that when you open it said package falls leaving its contents all over the floor.

 

 

 

And in case you were wondering. Spaghetti is a bitch to pick off the floor.  You know what a good solution is?  Sweeping it under the oven.  That's my solution to all my problems....just sweep it under the oven.

 

 

You can still cook pasta thats been on your kitchen floor right? I mean, you do boil it in hot water.
